Isn&#039;t Apple still doing exactly this? With the iPhone Apple ushered in a new way of computing, giving people a viable alternative to the smartphone/laptop paradigm. It may not be the best alternative for some people, but for many people -- especially in more affluent nations -- it just about the only working alternative.</description>
