iPhone 3.1 Software Update now available for download

Apple have released an update to their 3.0 Operating System for iPhone and Ipod Touch providing some updates and new features.

New Features in iPhone OS 3.1

You will find a host of bug fixes, plus Genius recommendations for Apps, Downloadable Ringtones, the ability to save video in Emails and MMS to your phone, and the option to ‘save as..’ when you edit a video.

The update should also pave the way for Augmented Apps to start appearing in the App Store.

Installing iPhone OS 3.1

1. Connect your iPhone to your computer and wait for iTunes to load
2. Select your iPhone from the list on the left
3. On the Summary Tab click Check for Update
4. A dialog box, like the one below, will pop up.  Click Download and Install
5. Wait for the Software to download, and then install onto your iPhone.
