Facebook update the iPhone App to 3.0 with lots of new functionality

Apple have just approved the much anticipated update to the Facebook iPhone App.

The update, is a major update to the iPhone Facebook App, that pretty much changes the whole look and feel of the App.  The main screen is now a grid, containing News Feed, Profile, Friends, Inbox, Chat, Requests, Events, Photos and Notes.  Each of these sections now lead off to more functional areas of Facebook, that were pretty limited on the previous iPhone App.

For iPhone 3GS users you will also now be able to upload video direct from your iPhone to Facebook.

Photos is also another area of major improvement, allowing better tagging and album management.
