UK voice-to-text service SpinVox have announced that they are going to give you SpinVox Voicemail for Free* until the end of 2009.
The service will convert received voicemails into text and then email you them free until the end of 2009.
SpinVox have received a bit of a battering recently, and I would imagine that this promotion is to try and win back some confidence in their product by allowing people to actually put it to the test at no cost.
It’s also interesting to note the below text on the promotion’s sign-up page, a response to some of the recent accusations?
We would also ask you to note that conversion may be assisted by human agents for quality control purposes. It is for reasons of data protection that we include a prompt that tells those who are about to leave you a voicemail that the message they are leaving will be processed and converted to text; you may wish to record a personal greeting and remind your callers that their voicemail to you may be aided in the conversion process by those QC agents.
If you have never used SpinVox, then now is the ideal time to try it out!
*Only the ‘voicemail to Email’ service will be free, the standard ‘voicemail to SMS’ will still be chargeable. Promotion only applies to Contracts and not Pay as You Go mobiles.
